Out-witted for once

I heard one of my Intermediate Algebra kids say today, “No. I’m going to try to do it without a calculator.”

{I attribute this to counting circles.}

There’s a kid I’ve looped with from precalc to calc that I’m pretty close to. We banter back and forth all the time. She reminds me of my younger sisters. She’s crazy smart, but I’d like to think I can hold my own when it comes to her comebacks. Today, I had a comeback so good that she was speechless for quite some time. At the end of class, she came up to my desk and congratulated me on being able to out-wit her. Teenagers. They’re my favorite.
