Today is a day that parents come to school and shadow their kids for the day. I had a lot of kids have their parents come. And although the school forgot to put out chairs for parents, I really liked that they could make this day to see what life as a student is like. As a teacher, it’s always nerve-wracking at the beginning because you feel like there are extra eyes on you that may be judging you. However as soon as the class starts, everything else goes out the window and I forget about the parents, and I like that my brain can do that.
So my one good thing is that some of my kids’s parents could join them in their classes. And that’s something special. Even if it makes me nervous beforehand.
