Yearbook

I had kind of a ho-hum day. Nothing terrible; but nothing great. I was feeling a bit aggravated with students in general, which is not typical Mrs. Peterson behavior. Sometimes just all their needs come crashing in at once, you know?

Anyway, I was sitting at my desk after school and in walks one of my old students! He graduated last year; I had him in class both his junior and senior year. He had come to pick up his yearbook (yes, six months after the fact). I actually hadn’t seen last year’s yearbook yet, so we looked through it together and just laughed and reminisced. It was awesome. It reminded me that yes, all this investing in these oftentimes-crazy teenagers is totally and completely worth it.
