Bible as Literature

I’ve been on the “Supervision and Evaluation Committee” for an English department colleague. This year he’s teaching Bible as Literature, and he has mainly seniors. His personal goal this year was to reconfigure the end of his course so that seniors would be invested in the course and intellectually stimulated. He designed a project, and students are presenting this week. I got someone to cover one of my classes today and visited one day of presentations. They were great, and the short discussion kids had after the presentations afterwards was nuanced, thoughtful, and deep. I loved everything about it! I need to sit in on more classes, and include classes not in my discipline too!
