Today four of my six Multivariable Calculus students gave their final presentation on their fourth quarter projects. Not just to our class, but to an audience of about 15-25 seniors and other faculty members. I was blown away by how clear and engaging some of the presentations were. And I was super excited by all the actual projects.
Here is a photograph of one of three art pieces on space filling curves done by a student.
(The other two pieces were a simple 2D dragon curve and a very complex computer program which calculated a complex “thing” and generated a beautiful space filling curve live in front of us!)
I was so proud of all four students who presented today. They took an embryonic idea for a project and turned it into something personal, interesting, and real.
