Thanks to several educators who generously share online, my third graders played Close to 100 in partnerships this afternoon. It was fabulous.
The kids practiced some important skills around place value. They got to be in a breakout room with one partner and chat while they played. One kid said, “I got to keep my mic on the whole time! I never get to do that.”
Math skills and social time – both are so important and it’s easy for me to focus on only the first.
