On Fridays I don’t Zoom with my virtual kids fifth hour so it’s just me and the four in-person students who couldn’t make calc work any other hour in their schedules.
Today I was about to walk them through an FRQ when one of them said, “Would it be ok if we started with mindfulness instead?”
Twist my arm.
I love when my students know what they need mentally and emotionally. I love that I can offer tools that some of them may take with them beyond high school.
I love when they remind me to take a break from the math and just…breathe.
