Friday’s are remote learning days for our hybrid students and simultaneously the day our full remote students come in to take assessments.
One of my junior boys walks in and says “I have so much tea for you.” He proceeded to tell me the latest updates in his life including music and Netflix recs. I love that every week he wants to just talk for 30 minutes before he gets started working.
I decided to turn one of my favorite dry erase activities into a Google slides activity (because Covid obvi) and it was fun to actually create. I think I feel the most teacher-y while I’m making activities and it’s been a while.
My remote learners dropped from 12 to 4 because of the new semester and they were done by about 10:30 so the rest of the day was free for planning and grading and creating. It’s the most peaceful Friday I’ve had since school started.
