Every Friday, my students write their own one good things from the week on the last page of their math notebook. It’s just for them: I don’t read these. I remember when I first started doing this I didn’t think anyone was taking me seriously until a student wrote me that summer to say that was one of the most impactful things she ever did in any class.
So OGT Fridays will always be a thing in my class.
Every once in a while a past student will tell me it’s a disciple they continued post-calculus.
