I have my calc kids on a weekly review schedule now. Every week we do the same thing but with a different FRQ topic and mixed MC review. Thursdays the kids take a MC packet (part of a past AP Exam) on their own and then grade their own. They get a small completion grade simply for working the questions and scoring their own work.
After I displayed the key in one of my hours, I heard a quiet, “Yay! I only missed two!”
“What?” I asked. “Did you say you only missed two on the whole test?”
“Yeah! It was easy.”
I will gladly take that one week into our review unit…maybe they learned some things this year after all.
