U-Bake

We had our first real meeting of baking club today! Since we have so many students, we had to do sign ups: we had five students at each of the four kitchens.

Oh my heart.

There was such diversity. Such kindness. Such eagerness.

AND ALL THE PUMPKIN.

I was in my happy place.

Seeing the kids take selfies as they baked or watching as their eyes lit up as they tasted that first bite…it does something to your soul when you get to witness their pride and confidence.

This was probably the latest I’ve stayed all year, but I left with a full heart.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if you have any worries about the world, just see what kids will do when they get together to bake…
