Today in Advanced Geometry, klds were working on the following problem… Proving using coordinate geometry that for any triangle, if they found the midpoints of two sides and connected them to make a segment, that the length of that segment is half the length of the third side of the triangle.
One group was working hard on one whiteboard, filled it up, and then finished the problem on a second. When I asked them to take a photograph of it, one student called the whiteboards “my babies.” (He was really proud of his work.)
